After 7–8 hours of sleep, the body is naturally:

  • mildly dehydrated
  • in a fasted metabolic state
  • primed for hormonal signalling (cortisol awakening response)

A properly designed morning drink can:

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • 300–400ml filtered water (room temperature or warm)
  • Juice of ½ fresh lemon
  • 1 pinch Himalayan salt (or sea salt)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
  • ½ tsp raw honey (optional)
  • Optional upgrade:
    • pinch of cinnamon (glucose support)
    • or fresh grated ginger (digestion + anti-inflammatory effect)

 


 

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients into a glass
  2. Stir gently until dissolved
  3. Drink slowly within 5–10 minutes of waking
